In the Northern part, between PUERTO DE LA CRUZ and ICOD DE
LOS VINOS, the small village BUEN PASO is located. You pass through the place
SAN JUAN DE LA RAMBLA and after 3 km you reach BUEN PASO. At the Red-cross
building you turn right and drive the small road downhill. About 900 m further
you will find Finca LA GAVIOTA on your right hand side. It is situated on a
promontory about 90 m above sea level. The finca has
a total extent of about 5.000 sqm. Here you are surrounded by banana plantations
and wine cultivation. In particular pleasant is the overall rest as you are far
away from the noise of the roads. The main building
with its three appartments is located on a rambling area.
The five bungalows are
situated below the main building. Two semi-detached houses were arranged side by
side, one bungalow is detached. Two recently built appartments are right
opposite the detached bungalow, out of sight by high palm trees and ornamental
shrubs. From here you can enjoy the view over the
Atlantic ocean. If you look into the other direction, you can see the tall Teide
(3.718 m) perfectly. In wintertime the peak is even covered with snow.
The sea can be reached on foot within a walking distance of about 30 minutes
through a wild scenery. You can go fishing or swimming in a natural
swimming-pool of about 1.000 sqm, surrounded by a natural surf protection of
huge lava rocks. Cooling down is possible in our swimming-pool which is about 6
m long, 3 m wide and 1,8 m deep. Public swimming baths can be reached by car
within 5-10 minutes.
Access is by the road joining
Icod de Los Vinhosand Buenavista del Norte at a distance of about 15 kilometers
from the latter. The 18 hole, a 72-par-course, has a lenght of 6.150 meters. The
greens of 5 holes are close to the small cliffs of the rocky coastline, where
the waves break creating a remarkably beautiful sight. In some holes one seems
to hit the ball right into the Ocean. Greens have been designed with great
respect to the natural ground and indigenous species have been planted in the
new areas.
The large terrace of 125 sqm surrounds the bungalow on two sides. Enjoy the view
at palm trees and many tropical and subtropical plants in the beautifully
arranged garden of 800 sqm and the adjoining plot of land. Of course there are
many possibilities to relax on the terrace or in the garden. In the large-scale
garden you will find besides tropical fruits oranges, lemons and bananas.
The double bungalow is already spoilt by the sun in the morning. From here you
can enjoy the view of the majestic El Teide. The spacious living-room is
provided with SAT-TV and hifi-system. Furnishings and extent of bungalow 3
and 2 are nearly identical. Comfortable: you can park your car directly in
front of the entrance. One of the four bedrooms of bungalow 4. All beds offer
plenty of room for a relaxing sleep. Bungalow 2 offers room for 8 persons
and possibly small children. In the modern kitchen there is no lack. Besides
the usual equipment there is a dish-washer in this kitchen. For your orientation
once again the map: In the north of Tenerife the small village of "Buen Paso"is
situated between Puerto de la Cruz and Icod de los Vinos. On a spit of land
about 90m above sea the Finca "La Gaviota" with its bungalows and apartments is
located.
