Castello
di
Magona
was
built
during
the
first
decade
of the
16th
century
and
became
the
residence
of
Leopold
II,
Grand
Duke of
Tuscany,
during
the
reclamation
of the
Maremma
land. It
then
passed
into the
hands of
the
Merciai
family
and has
been
recently
transformed
into a
“Historical
House”
open to
all
those
wish is
to allow
themselves
a
different
type of
break,
to
discover
the
beautiful
surroundings
rich in
history
and art.
It is a
perfect
location
for
family
and
friends
reunions,
small
exclusives
meetings,
deluxe
weddings,
unforgettable
incentives.!
The aim
is to
provide
all of
the
castle´s
guests
with the
opportunity
to live
as the
nobility
of the
16th
century
with all
the
modern
comforts
of the
21st
century.
Castello
di
Magona
offers
its
guests
something
different
for
every
moment
of the
day ; an
indoor
and
outdoor
dining
room ,
the bar-
lounge,
the
swimming
pool, a
Jacuzzi
and a
gym
space.
Cleaning
during
the week
8 hours,
6 times
a week
for a
total of
48
hours. 2
sets of
bed- and
bath-linen
per
week,
provided
on
Saturday
and on
Wednesday.

in the

800 m˛ - sleeps 22 - 11 bedrooms GROUND FLOOR: large entrance salon with antique paintings on the walls and an 18th century table, on the left you come to a living/reading room and a second living-room with fireplace that gives access to a room containing rare antique objects. There is satellite TV, video-recorder, internet point. Leaving the entrance salon to the right you come to the large dining-room and a second, smaller and more intimate dining-room with the kitchen next to it (for the exclusive use of the personnel). Access to the first floor is via either of two staircases, one on the left and one on the right of the entrance hall.
MIDDLE FLOOR: 1 double bedroom with bathroom, 2 junior suites with panoramic view.
FIRST FLOOR: 3 suites, one of which has a terrace, 2 double bedrooms with bathroom, 1 junior suite (the Grand Duke´s bedroom) with frescoes and 17th century bedstead.
SECOND FLOOR: 1 junior suite with view.
TOWER: 1 double bedroom with bathroom. After a very careful restoration, there are 5 double rooms and 6 suites available. Each room is different in colour, type, view and furnishing while all combining elegance and day comforts: air conditioning, mini bar, safe, satellite colour television, telephone with internet access. The Castle provides also a CD/DVD and a VRS.
