Villa Crete ( 10106 )

Koronio means “crown”, and the Koronio Villas owe their name to their “crowning” position on top of a hill (6000sqm), with magnificent views over the olive groves out across the bay at Kalamaki. The villas are built of natural stone and wood and each has its own pretty garden of 300sqm with a terrace and a stone built oven. From the terrace there are wonderful panoramic views out over the sea and the surrounding countryside, with the slopes of “Psiloritis” to the rear. The villas are all furnished to a high standard in a traditional, Cretan way, each villa having its own individual style. Wooden beamed ceilings and delightful antique pine furniture give the villas a very unique quality. There are 3 villas altogether, each with air conditioning, and there are 2 sizes to choose from:

A: Two villas, ideally for 4-6 people, with two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds (which can be made into two sets of bunk beds for 5^th and 6^th person if needed). The main door leads to a fully equipped, spacious kitchen with dining table, microwave oven and a living room with an impressive stone made fireplace. From here a stone archway leads to the bedrooms and a large bathroom fitted with Jacuzzi-bathtub and shower/WC. These villas are also equipped with a      washing machine, satellite TV, hairdryer, and an ironing board/iron. From the year 2004 these 2 villas will have their own private swimming pool.

B: Ideally for 6-9 people, this villa (without swimming pool) is composed of two separate apartments. The large apartment is as described in type A. Underneath this apartment is a smaller apartment for 2-3 people. It has one double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave oven and living room with sofa bed, and shower/WC. This apartment is also equipped with satellite TV, hairdryer and an ironing board with iron.

These villas are situated between the villages of Kalamaki and Kamilari where all necessary shops, tavernas and mini markets can be found. The nearest sandy beach is at Kalamaki 1,5 km away. Koronio Villas offer an ideal holiday setting for those seeking peace and tranquility in natural surroundings, with the possibility to explore the surrounding area on foot. The villas themselves offer a traditional setting, yet with the comforts of modern living. Car hire is essential.
